Ngetta babies Home in Lira city has kicked off a fund-raising drive to source for over 200 million shillings to improve the dilapidated structures at the facility.

The babies’ home was founded in 1968 under the management of the catholic church to care for abandoned and orphaned babies ranging from 0 to 3 years from Lango sub region and beyond.
Robert Ebong, the chairperson of the fund raising explained that the money that will be realized will be use to refurbish the hostel, kitchen, the compound and fencing the facility.
Meanwhile, Sister Demmy Francis, the warden of Ngetta babies’ home called for support from well-wishers since the facility currently depend only on donation.
Currently 42 babies are at the facility however it continues to grapple with challenges ranging from medical complications and insufficient food among others.
