The territorial police in APAC District are holding a 15 yrs old juvenile for allegedly killing his father.

The suspect, identified as Ronald Omara allegedly killed his father Charles Aliro 52 yrs old from Otucoluk Village, Aketo parish,Ibuje Sub-County in APAC District.
According to the North Kyoga Region Police spokesperson Jimmy Patrick Okema, the report was registered to the police station by one Charles Ogwal on the 3rd Jan 2024 at around 8:00PM.
It’s alleged that Ronald Omara 15 yrs old (Suspect) has been studying in Kampala, and he came home during the festive season to see his parents, however on the 03rd Jan while he was sitted outside with his father Aliro, they picked up an argument. And subsequently, Omara hit his Father to death using a blunt object.
Charles Ogwal, who happened to be their immediate neighbor intervened and hurriedly pick the body from the scene, took it to Apac Hospital Mortuary then he handed the suspect to Apac police station.
The case of murder was registered at Ibuje Police station, scene of crime visited and re-constructed by the DPC Apac and his team, and some statements were recorded.
Okema added that Charles Ogwal has also been arrested to help police investigate why he hurriedly pick up the body from the scene and took it to the mortuary, before the scene of crime team could conduct an assessment.
