In a move that’s set to shake up the political landscape in Northern Uganda, Hon. Judith Alyek, the current Chairperson of the Lango Parliamentary Group (LPG), has expressed interest in contesting for the NRM Vice Chairperson seat for the Northern Region.
Alyek, who is also the Woman Member of Parliament for Kole District, has a proven track record of lobbying for development projects in the Lango sub-region.
Her efforts have led to the implementation of several key projects, including the Lira Kamdini road, Masindi Port Apac Lira Kitgum Road, cattle compensation, and the renovation of the Akii Bua Stadium.
With her vast knowledge and experience in handling issues and following up on development projects, Alyek is considered a strong potential candidate for the NRM Vice Chairperson seat.
Her focus will be on uniting NRM members in the Northern Region, ensuring the implementation of the NRM Manifesto, and mobilizing support for the party.

Alyek’s leadership skills and experience make her an ideal candidate for the position.
She has served as the Chairperson of the Committee on HIV/AIDS and related diseases and has been a vocal advocate for health and education in her constituency.
As the NRM party prepares for its internal elections, Alyek’s candidacy is expected to generate significant interest and support from party members in the Northern Region.
