The city authority is working diligently to improve street lighting, with a focus on roads like Church Road and Referral Hospital Road.

Regular meetings between the town clerk and the mayor ensure that security issues are addressed proactively.

While acknowledging the challenges posed by limited resources, Okurut expressed hope for extending lighting to more areas and enhancing overall safety in the city.

With a development plan in place, Lira City is poised to become a model for public safety in the region.
