Adjumani, October 20, 2025 – His Excellency the President wrapped up the Madi Sub-Region leg of the “Protecting the Gains” campaign tour today with a high-energy rally at Paridi Stadium in Awindiri, Adjumani Town Council.

Arriving at 11:45 AM, the President was received by a host of senior government officials, including the Second Deputy Prime Minister, the NRM Secretary General, the Government Chief Whip, and several Central Executive Committee (CEC) members.

In his address, the President took the crowd on a reflective journey through Uganda’s turbulent past, contrasting it with the stability achieved under his leadership. “Peace is the foundation of every school, health center, and road you see today,” he declared, pointing to tangible infrastructure gains across Adjumani District.

He spotlighted ongoing projects—new classrooms, upgraded health facilities, expanded electricity coverage—and pledged further investment, including an increase in Parish Development Model (PDM) funding per parish. Local leaders will also receive enhanced support, he assured, citing success stories from parishes across North West Nile.

The President closed with a direct appeal: “Vote NRM to keep these gains growing. Continuity means more development.”

The event ended at 1:54 PM, after which the presidential convoy departed for the next stop in Achoil Sub-Region, beginning in Amuru District.

Regional Police Spokesperson SP Asea Collins confirmed that security throughout the visit remained calm and fully under control.
